True emblems of the "British way of sailing," Snowgoose boats are no longer manufactured but regularly appear on the used market. The freeboard is moderate, the wide coachroof remains quite sleek, and the windage is low, as is the resulting nacelle height. A streamlined bow, a sort of third central hull, stiffens the bottom and reduces the impact of waves, and houses the engine and lifting outdrive in its aft section. The lower nacelle height isn't the boat's strong point, but if you can accept it, you'll love everything else (shallow draft, lifting outdrive, beaching capability, moderate beam allowing navigation on inland waterways, surprising livability...). The build quality is remarkable, the dimensions generous! The relatively low center of gravity, combined with a modest sail plan (64m² upwind), contributes to the boat's reassuring stability.
This particular example has been exceptionally well maintained and is described by the sellers as ready for immediate departure.
